The champions celebrated being crowned title winners a week ago with a 5-0 thrashing of Swansea on Sunday with their usual cast of superstars on the scoresheet.
The Etihad crowd were keen for shot stopper Ederson to take a second-half penalty, which Gabriel Jesus went on to miss only for Bernardo Silva to slam home the rebound.
And the Brazilian says he's ready and willing should he get the nod from Pep Guardiola to take one from the spot.
"If the manager had asked me to go there, I would have definitely scored," he said. "City have their regular penalty takers and we have good options, but if Pep asks me to take it, I'm there."
The last keeper to score in a Premier League match was Asmir Begovic four years ago, with Peter Schmeichel, Brad Friedel, Paul Robinson and Tim Howard the only others to have found the net in the Premier League.
"I'm not sure if I would be able to do set-pieces, but I'm good at penalties, either using power or technique when I'm shooting," Ederson added.
"Hopefully it will happen [before the end of the season], I'd like to score."
City are looking for extra means of motivation to sustain them in their final four games, and records for most wins, most goals and most points in a season are in their sights.
Guardiola's team have now won 29 times, scored 98 goals and accrued 90 points. The current records - all held by Chelsea - are 30, 103 and 95 respectively.
"It would mean a lot (to beat them)," he added. "If you finish the season as a champion and, on top of that, break some records - we would make history as a club and also us as football players.
"I hope we can break all the records. We are able to do it. I think if we manage to keep the same level we have had along the season, we'll do it."
City could also set a record for the largest winning margin in the Premier League, which stands at 18 points. Their current lead is 16 points.
They have already set one record this season by winning 18 games in succession from August to December.
Their continued brilliance proved far too much for Swansea, who were outclassed at the Etihad.
A neat flick and finish by David Silva and a close-range effort from Raheem Sterling put the hosts in early command. A piledriver from Kevin De Bruyne, penalty rebound from Bernardo Silva and Gabriel Jesus header wrapped up a convincing win.
"In all the games along the season, our team has shown our quality. We have played good football," he said. "Everything we train on during the week we put into practice during the games. What we have done here we have done in other games.
"We need to keep the same level in the last four games of the season and try to win all of them."
