Your support makes all the difference.Exiled Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho looks to be on his way out of the club after he went on a late-night rant about manager Jurgen Klopp.
The 26-year-old took to social media app Snapchat to express his annoyance at being frozen out of the first-team squad by the former Borussia Dortmund boss.
Sakho was a regular under Klopp last season but lost his place following a temporary suspension as investigations into a failed drug test were carried out – something that also cost him a place in France’s Euro 2016 squad.
There was nothing found to be untoward about the failed test but Sakho was sent home from the Reds’ preseason tour of the United States amid reports Klopp was growing frustrated with his behaviour.
Sakho’s hasn’t featured this season and earlier this week Klopp claimed it was due to the defender’s lack of match fitness after picking up a heel injury in preseason but the Frenchman contradicted his manager’s comments with a series of Snapchats posted at 3.05am.
He wrote: "Now it's 3 weeks I am fit to play games. I finish all my rehabilitation work. They don't want me to play also with second team lol! Why I don't know.
"Still working hard like Scouse Soldier! Still not talking cos I want speak on the pitch... I will speak soon for the people who support me and don't understand the situation.
“Still happy to live in my 'Liverpool Country' with my family, hope to have chance to play soon to give my best like I try to do always.
"I accept my situation but I can't accept the lie... the fans deserve to know the true! Thanks for your support.
"6 months stay quiet... Have a good night everybody! You'll Never Walk Alone."
In the social media posts Sakho alleges Klopp will not even allow him to build up his fitness with the under-23 team despite being fully fit for three weeks.
However, speaking in the week, Klopp made it clear it was he who decides when his players are fit and not the other way around.
“[He's] still working on it. He's closer to everything,” said the German.
“He's still working, but it's a big difference between match fitness, that's all. It's not about how the player feels, it's about how I feel.
“It needs time, for sure. It makes more sense to really use the time, and that's what we're working on.”
