Liverpool fought back from a goal down against Newcastle United to maintain their 100% record this Premier League season.

The European champions have been in sparkling form but made a slow start at Anfield. And they were stunned when Newcastle full-back Jetro Willems opened the scoring with a thumping finish.

But it didn’t take long for Liverpool to level the score. Sadio Mane fired low into the corner of the goal, before doubling his tally just before half-time.

Mohamed Salah then made sure of the three points with a sublime goal, racing onto Roberto Firmino’s deft back heel before curling a shot around the hapless Martin Dúbravka.

The win means Liverpool will top the Premier League table for another week at least.
