Liverpool fans will finally get their first glimpse of new goalkeeper Alisson in action for the first time when the Reds face Napoli in their next friendly, Jurgen Klopp has revealed.

The 25-year-old arrived at Anfield last month to become the world’s most expensive goalkeeper at £67m from Roma.

However, after interrupting his holiday to sign for Liverpool, Alisson returned back to his post-World Cup break before joining the rest of his new teammates for preseason last week.

Klopp will see his side next play Napoli on Sunday in Dublin having returned from their tour of the United States already and Alisson will take up his place behind the back four.

“It's pretty likely (he'll make his debut). We should not waste time,” Klopp told the club’s website.

“Then it'll be nearly a week, or six days in training, since he (started) and yes, he will play.”

Liverpool’s final preseason friendly is against Torino on 7th August, five days before hosting West Ham United in their Premier League opener.
