Liverpool have released their 23-man squad for the Club World Cup.

Jurgen Klopp's side will aim to win the competition for the first time in Qatar in December.

With Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup 24 hours before their semi-final on December 18 Klopp faces a selection dilemma.

Will he prioritise the glory of the Club World Cup? Or look to advance in the League Cup, which could represent the first domestic silverware of the season and ease the pressure of the run-in.

The Reds remain 11 points clear at the top of the Premier League.

The squad includes youngsters Rhian Brewster, Harvey Elliott, Neco Williams and Curtis Jones, meaning the team to face Villa could involve even more inexperienced youngsters.

While Liverpool Under-23s boss Neil Critchley will take charge of the Carabao Cup tie against Villa.
