From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. Liverpool’s bid to win their first domestic league title in 29 years is over but their season is far from done yet.

Jurgen Klopp’s side enjoyed a remarkable Premier League campaign, taking a club record total of 97 points, yet fell one short of champions Manchester City.

Their focus will now turn to the Champions League, having reached the final of the competition for a second successive season.

Tottenham Hotspur, who finished 26 points behind Liverpool, will be their opponents in the final. Klopp’s side will be favourites.

There have been wins over the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and – most famously – Barcelona on the way to this point.

However, Liverpool could still fall to defeat in Madrid and thereby end an excellent season empty-handed.

Check the gallery below to see how we have rated United’s players for the 2018/19 season.
