From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Brendan Rodgers remains with out three first-team players when Liverpool host Bournemouth.

Daniel Sturridge, Joe Allen and Jon Flanagan are the trio of lingering casualties for Liverpool, but the Reds otherwise have a full compliment of players.

Sturridge continues to recover from hip and thigh problems, although his return could come in around a month. Jon Flanagan, who missed all of last season, is estimated to be out until December with the same knee problem, while Allen has a hamstring injury he picked up in the pre-season friendly against Swindon Town; it is not yet known when he will return.

Brendan Rodgers could start with the same team that beat Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium last Sunday, although new signing Roberto Firmino may play instead of Adam Lallana or Jordon Ibe.

Bournemouth vs Liverpool kicks off at 8pm
