Liverpool comprehensively beat Arsenal at Anfield in an ominous performance for the rest of the league.

The Reds were in supreme form, taking the lead through Joel Matip’s header from a Trent Alexander-Arnold corner shortly before half-time.

And they were two up not long into the second period when Mohamed Salah scored from the penalty spot, having been pulled back by David Luiz in the box.

Salah added a third with a brilliant spin, dribble and finish as Liverpool just proved far too good for their visitors.

And despite a late goal by Lucas Torreira, it means Liverpool remain on top of the table with three wins from their opening three games.
