Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Sky Sports and BT Sport have announced their live Premier League TV fixtures for January with Liverpool and Arsenal both to be shown three times during the month.
Three other teams will not have any of their league games shown by either channel, with the pair combining to show 15 matches during January.
Southampton, who currently sit in seventh in the table, are the most high profile casualty, while West Bromwich Albion (13th) and relegation-threatened Bournemouth (18th) will also not be shown.
The games everyone will want to tune in for take place on Sunday 17, when Manchester United travel to bitter rivals Liverpool (Sky Sports, 2.05pm) and when Arsene Wenger's title chasing Arsenal host Jose Mourinho's struggling Chelsea (Sun 24, Sky Sports, 4pm).
Liverpool and Arsenal will both be shown three times during January, while Chelsea and Manchester City are among the seven teams to be shown twice.
