Your support makes all the difference.Leicester City midfielder Marc Albrighton has admitted he and his team-mates will put themselves through the agony of watching Tottenham Hotspur’s must-win trip to Chelsea tonight with Claudio Ranieri’s team on the brink of being crowned Premier League champions.
With Leicester emerging from Old Trafford on Sunday with a point from their 1-1 draw with Manchester United, only a Spurs victory at Stamford Bridge – where they have not won a league game since February 1990 – will extend the title race into the weekend.
But having refused to watch as Spurs dropped two points at home to West Bromwich Albion last Monday, former Aston Villa winger Albrighton insists there is now too much at stake for the Leicester squad to ignore events in west London tonight.
“I think we have got to watch it,” Albrighton said. “I don't think we can ignore this one.
“I didn't watch last week (against West Brom), but I think when there is a chance to win the league, like this week, we have all got to watch it and I think we will probably spend the night all together.
“I was in a restaurant in Lichfield with my fiancée, oblivious to it (when Spurs drew with West Brom).
“The week before, when they played Stoke, I watched that. I saw them roll Stoke over and that was pretty hard to take.
“So last Monday I said we'd go out for a nice meal and I left my phone in the car. I got back and saw the result and was delighted.”
With Leicester unable to claim the victory at Old Trafford which would have secured the title, Albrighton insists he has no qualms about being crowned champions without playing.
“Without doubt. It doesn't matter how you win it,” he said. “Don't get me wrong, it would have been great to win it at Old Trafford in a fantastic stadium but it wasn't to be. I'll take it anyway.

“I wouldn't say we were dejected after the United game. We came here to win the game and to wrap up the title, but it wasn't to be.
“We were probably thinking what could have been and that we could have been over there celebrating with our fans.
“But we've still got another couple of chances to do that and hopefully we can.
“Maybe it does put a little bit more pressure on Spurs. I don't know whether they were expecting us to get anything, probably a point.
“They've got a tough game away at Chelsea and we'll be watching that with a close eye on it.
“And hopefully we can win it either Monday night or in our next games.”
