Steve Kean, the Blackburn manager, has extended his contract until 2013. He took over at Ewood Park last month following the sacking of Sam Allardyce.

"I am delighted to commit my future at the start of what I see as a massively exciting new era," Kean said. "The owners have shown great faith in me and I will do all I can to repay them."
