From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. Chelsea captain will John Terry will miss his fourth consecutive game after interim manager Guus Hiddink ruled him out of the trip to Norwich City.

Terry, 35, played every minute of every Premier League game as Chelsea won the title under Jose Mourinho last season, but will miss his seventh game of the season on Tuesday night.

The plan is for the former England captain to be fully fit when the Blues face Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of the Champions League on 9 March.

Hiddink even said he may organise a special training game to get Terry up to full speed.

"We'll see how we react and if he needs a game we might organise a game, an intense game. Maybe he needs 11 vs 11 at Cobham or maybe six versus six or seven versus seven but with intensity. It's very tight, it's very tight (if he will be fully fit)," said the Dutchman.

"If the medical staff says (he can feature against Norwich on Tuesday) and John says so then I'll be careful because I have the experience in the past with these kind of injuries.

"Someone thinks 'I'm fine, I feel okay', but the demands of the game are a little bit different than, although it's heavy, training. I prefer to wait although everyone is knocking on the door, I prefer to wait especially in relation to the games coming up.

"I don't think (Terry will rush back in order to earn a new contract). We talked, I talked to him, I said 'Hey, let's take our time', not to rush things and nothing to do with the contractual situation.

"It's not long because normally for hamstring and tendon injuries they're, at least it depends on the grade of the seriousness of the injury, but normally it's longer than an ankle injury or whatever and I have the experience to wait, maybe even a game longer than everyone thinks."

Kurt Zouma, Radamel Falcao and Pedro are also definitely missing, but there is a chance Alexandre Pato could make his debut at Carrow Road.
