From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Chelsea captain John Terry has been struggling with injuries in recent weeks with his time in west London perhaps drawing to a close.

The 35-year-old has managed just one full game out of Chelsea's last 10 matches, playing 90 minutes against West Ham and another six against Everton in the FA Cup.

Terry may have made more than 700 appearances for the club but he is yet to be offered a new deal by the club with whom he has spent his whole career.

Antonio Conte, who takes over at Stamford Bridge after Euro 2016, is expected to hold a meeting with Terry before deciding whether the one-club man has a future at Stamford Bridge.

On Monday afternoon Terry took to image sharing site Instagram to post an update on his injury.

The Blues host Manchester City on Saturday evening in one of their final matches of a dreadful season.

Terry revealed he is getting Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections, probably in a bid to play in Saturday's game.

"PRP [injection] Being injured is the most frustrating thing as a player," he wrote on the caption. "Working hard to get back fit."
