Jamie Vardy made Premier League history after scoring for the 11th game in a row against Manchester United.

The Leicester City striker, who was playing non-League football as recently as 2012, raced onto a superb Christian Fuchs pass to finish pass David De Gea.

Vardy had equalled former United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy's record last week with a goal against Newcastle United.

After a week of pressure, Vardy took just 24 minutes to score for the Foxes, who started the day top of the Premier League.

Manchester United's defence was all at sea with centre-backs Chris Smalling and Paddy McNair nowhere to be seen after struggling to get back from a corner.

Vardy was able to race past right-back Matteo Darmian and left winger Ashley Young who were, somehow, in the centre of defence.

He never looked like missing.
