How was the season for you?: Tottenham
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Who has been your best player this season?
Robbie Keane is the most consistent. The League’s most underrated striker.
Who would you be glad to see the back of?
Much as it pains me – Paul Robinson. His poor form has cost us.
What was your best performance?
The 5-1 destruction of Arsenal dispelled years of hurt. I danced through the streets with joy after.
And the worst?
Losing 4-1 to Newcastle at home was humiliating.
Who have been your toughest opponents?
For surprise factor, Birmingham; beat us home and away and have a better team than the table suggests.
Best player faced?
Ibrahim Afellay of PSV.
Funniest/most bizarre moment of the season?
Arsène Wenger’s reasoning that, despite being on the end of a 5-1 drubbing, his side deserved to win.
Your perfect, but realistic signing?
Bearing in mind some of the names being bandied around, it's difficult to know what is realistic.
Any reasons to be cheerful going into next season?
Juande Ramos and Luka Modric. Ramos can match the best and Modric is one of Europe’s brightest talents.
Reasons to be gloomy?
An attitude problem still exists among some players and the midfield lacks bite.
Who will you support in Euro 2008?
Croatia because of Modric, and they have other gifted players.
Overall assessment of your manager?
Ramos won instant adoration by winning the Carling Cup and he has improved our performances against the top four.
And overall assessment of your team?
It’s been an odd season and considering the dreadful start, we’ve done OK. Qualifying for Europe was important but too many players have proven themselves to be below the standard required.
Marks out of 10?
In the league - 4
In the cups - 8
