Missouri’s Republican-led House passed legislation to outlaw almost all abortions after eight weeks of pregnancy.
And Spainiard Bellerin is adamant the issue is not just for women but every human being.
“I wanted to see if anyone from our industry would speak out about the abortion bill, but I guess people are too scared,” Bellerin wrote on social media.
“This isn’t just an issue for women, it’s one for every human being.
“We fight for equality and this is something men should fight for and not hide away from.”
Bellerin received widespread praise in response, with many proclaiming him to be their “captain” and a perfect example for others to follow.
The 24-year-old is currently undergoing rehabilitation after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament.
