Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

As if Fulham’s situation could get any worse, they now have to play a Liverpool side that shrugged off Bayern in the Champions League followed by Manchester City who beat Schalke 7-0 in the same competition.

With Scott Parker’s side now 13 points off safety, they simply have to take points from at least one of these games. They showed glimpse of improvement against Chelsea, but now need to turn that into points as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, Liverpool can’t afford to bask in their European progression, they are still one point behind Manchester City going into the crunch period of the season.

They’ve drawn three out of their last six, and all those points were dropped away from home. Fulham have conceded 68 goals this season, so Klopp’s side should see this as the perfect opportunity to finally win away.
