Somehow still owned by less than a quarter of managers, even after Wednesday’s brace down at Brighton, Bruno Fernandes is bordering on an essential pick as free-falling Bournemouth visit in-form Manchester United this Saturday.
Whether Fernandes can maintain the form which has produced five goals and three assists in his first eight Premier League appearances remains to be seen, but he surely has every chance against Eddie Howe’s relegation-threatened side.
Sadio Mané
Likewise, Mané is owned by less than a quarter of managers and arguably has the most enticing fixture of the season on Sunday. Aston Villa have the top flight’s worst defence, and yet must travel to play the newly-crowned champions.
Mohamed Salah would be an equally safe bet but Mané is marginally cheaper than the Egyptian and has a significantly lower ownership. Rotation risks like Takumi Minamino could also pay off, if you’re feeling lucky.
Phil Foden
Speaking of rotation risk, Manchester City are about to embark on a run of favourable fixtures lasting right up until the end of the season. Kevin De Bruyne alone will not be enough to cover their points over this period.
Riyad Mahrez has looked lively since the restart but his £8.5m price tag is significantly steeper than that of £5.2m-rated Phil Foden, who scored twice on his last outing. If you can accept he will be a substitute every now and again, he could be a powerful differential.
Christian Pulisic
As you can tell, there are many excellent midfield options at the moment and Pulisic should not be ignored either. Despite being on the losing side, he was once again influential in Chelsea’s 3-2 defeat at West Ham on Wednesday night.
Pulisic added two assists to his two goals since the restart and, on Saturday, Frank Lampard’s side welcome a struggling Watford side to Stamford Bridge. Nigel Pearson’s men have gone four games without a clean sheet.
Mason Greenwood
Both United and Liverpool are worthy of multiple spots in your team this week, given the strength of their fixtures. Greenwood’s potential as an affordable, starting forward has been clear for some time and his goal against Brighton will bring a raft of new owners.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appears to favour Greenwood ahead of Daniel James on the right-hand side, particularly against opponents that defend deep. Do not be surprised if he is on the scoresheet again against Bournemouth.
