Fantasy football scout tips gameweek 32: Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling, Eden Hazard and more

Sergio Aguero

This weekend sees the first major ‘double gameweek’ of the season and is likely to prove pivotal in the hopes and fortunes of many managers.

If you still have your ‘Free Hit’ chip in tact, this week is a good time to use it and Sergio Aguero should be the first player drafted in to your one-week-only squad.

As one of the few Manchester City players with a decent chance of starting both games, Aguero could score big away to Fulham and at home to Cardiff.

Seven goals in his last four games at the Etihad make him an obvious captaincy candidate too, though there are plenty others to choose from this week.

One may be Harry Kane, a fellow striker who has Liverpool away and Crystal Palace at home, but selecting both him and Aguero makes for an expensive forward line.

Raheem Sterling

You may feel funds are better spent in midfield where - sticking with City - the in-form Raheem Sterling will look to pick up from where he left off during the international break.

Sterling is under greater threat of rotation than Aguero after his exploits with England and therefore a riskier choice for the armband but still one could pay off handsomely.

The City winger has seven goals in three games - hitting a hat-trick in the 3-1 win against Watford earlier this month - and will fancy himself against two relegation-threatened sides.

Eden Hazard

Along with Aguero, Sterling and Kane, Eden Hazard is one of four premium double-gameweek players that Free Hit managers will need at least three of.

The Belgian may ultimately lose out to the others as an unpredictable Chelsea side’s fixtures are perhaps more attractive from a defensive standpoint.

Still, those with the ability to cover a potential Hazard points haul would be unwise to go without him.

Around 30 per cent of managers already have him in their ranks and he could fill his boots either away to Cardiff or at home to Brighton.

Jeffrey Schlupp

Time for a change of tack and a budget option in defence: Crystal Palace’s Jeffrey Schlupp, priced at just £4.5m.

Schlupp’s appeal comes from the fact he is typically playing in midfield under Roy Hodgson and has contributed a goal and three assists in his last six games.

Huddersfield’s visit to Selhurst Park this weekend looks like a plum fixture for Palace, to be aware that Jan Siewert’s side will be doing their best to avoid being relegated on Saturday.

Paul Pogba

Paul Pogba is extremely well owned, offers a route into a ‘top six’ midfield and is at a reasonable price, which makes him nearly essential for Free Hit teams this week.

Manchester United do not have the most favourable double-header, facing ‘best of the rest’ Watford and Wolverhampton Wanderers home and away respectively.

Pogba, meanwhile, has suffered a dip in form of late, scoring none and registering just one assist in his last four outings.

But if he can rediscover his points-scoring form of a few weeks ago, almost half the managers in the game stand to profit, as does his new permanent boss at Old Trafford.
