Eden Hazard

It was not the most productive of Christmas periods for Eden Hazard, who brought 15 points home from one outing against Watford but blanked in his other three games.

At a time when many are trying to find the best combination of premium assets, the streaky Belgian needs to stellar performance in order to remain in our thoughts.

Enter Newcastle United, who visit Stamford Bridge this weekend. Hazard has the most enticing fixture of the players in the top bracket and 38 per cent of managers will be banking on him to return big.

Richarlison

Richarlison was another to have a quiet festive period, registering one goal and one assist in his four games, though only playing 23 minutes in the 5-1 win at Burnley did not help his cause.

The Brazilian appears likely to return to his natural role cutting inside from the left wing, however, and Everton's fixtures over the coming weeks are favourable, starting with Bournemouth's visit to Goodison Park on Saturday.

Richarlison remains heavily owned - in some 29 per cent of squads - and could punish those who are without him before the month is out.

Roberto Firmino

While many managers migrate back to Mohamed Salah following his run of big scores over Christmas, one of his Liverpool team-mates is also deserving of attention.

Roberto Firmino is yet to hit the consistent fantasy heights of last season but his hat-trick against Arsenal and goal against Manchester City make it four in his last two league appearances, bringing home 25 points.

Brighton and Hove Albion are no pushovers at home but Firmino is something of a form player. Those who cannot squeeze £13.3m Salah into their squad might be wise to look at his Brazilian team-mate.

James Tarkowski

Whisper it, but there appear to be signs of life at Turf Moor. Burnley have won their last two, conceding just once in the process, and have dropped Joe Hart from the starting line-up.

Hart was not the sole problem with Sean Dyche's side, of course, but Tom Heaton and Nick Pope played a huge part in Burnley's success over the last two years and will now fight it out for the No 1 spot.

This means their defence could become a proposition once more and, with decent fixturs to come, James Tarkowski is one we are keeping tabs on. A shut-out against Fulham this weekend is more than possible.

Victor Camarasa

A player who has largely flown under the radar this season, despite being one of the best budget midfield options, is Cardiff City's Victor Camarasa.

Two goals over the festive period rewarded those owners who have seen Camarasa's potential from early on in the season, though the Spaniard is more of a fifth-choice midfielder who can provide points off the substitutes' bench.

Camarasa is across free-kicks, corners and penalties for Cardiff and will hope to profit from sturggling Huddersfield Town's visit to south Wales this weekend.
