Fantasy football scout tips gameweek 14: Leroy Sane, Anthony Martial, Felipe Anderson and more

Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Leroy Sané
After their exploits at the London Stadium last weekend, Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sané have attracted a lot of attention.
And though while Sterling is the overall leading points scorer and most transferred-in player in this week’s market, Sané perhaps carries less rotation risk.
Benjamin Mendy’s injury means Manchester City lack natural width and Pep Guardiola has tended to play Sané consistently while missing his first-choice left-back.
Anthony Martial
Anthony Martial and his Manchester United team-mates had an afternoon to forget last time out, drawing a blank against Crystal Palace.
It was the first time in six gameweeks that Martial had failed to return goal or assist points, but Saturday’s trip to St Mary’s offers him a chance to kick-start another streak.
Southampton are still without a win since the start of September and are yet to taste victory at home this season.
Salomon Rondon
Up front, a new budget striker may be emerging. Newcastle’s upturn in form makes their leading man Salmon Rondon an option.
Rondon bagged a brace in his last home outing - against Bournemouth before the international break - and is priced at just £5.7m.
Newcastle’s visitors this weekend - West Ham United - give up chances away from home and Rondon could quite easily reward his 1.4 per cent ownership.
Felipe Anderson
Staying at St James’ Park, West Ham’s run of fixtures over the coming weeks is too good to ignore.
Marko Arnautovic, who has recovered from a hip problem, will crop up in many a squad but Felipe Anderson is also worth our consideration.
In just 6.3 per cent of squads, Anderson has three goals in his last three outings.
Christopher Schindler
Huddersfield Town provided one of the surprise results of last weekend by beating Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux.
Fresh from their first away win of the campaign, David Wagner’s side welcome Brighton to the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday, who have issues creating chances on the road.
Huddersfield, meanwhile, have two clean sheets in their last three, which makes defender and set-piece threat Christopher Schindler an enticing option.
Honourable mentions: Wayne Hennessey, Matt Doherty, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Raheem Sterling, Raul Jimenez.
