Jamie Vardy

Vardy has flown slightly under the radar among fantasy managers so far this season, despite six goals, a mid-range price of around £9m and a lack of consistent options up top.

Much of Leicester's attacking ends at Vardy's feet and their run of fixtures is among the most favourable in the league, starting with a trip to Southampton on Friday night.

Callum Wilson

Retaining his place from last week's picks despite drawing a blank against Norwich, Wilson and his Bournemouth team-mates travel to basement-dwelling Watford this weekend.

Wilson is without an attacking return in two gameweeks, but the consistency he showed at the start of the season means he has one last chance to regain form.

Daniel James

To say that Manchester United's attack has looked blunt at times would be an understatement, but their new recruit on the flanks has still made a decent start.

James comes up against a Norwich City side who have looked vulnerable to pace in behind and have the top flight's joint-worst defence, with 21 goals conceded.

Pascal Gross

A fantasy favourite two years ago, Gross is slowly winning managers back with a string of quietly influential displays for Graham Potter's Brighton.

Last Saturday's defeat to Aston Villa produced his first assist since the opening weekend but he has been steadily creating chances, especially in recent weeks.

Ryan Fredericks

In Fredericks, West Ham have a modestly-priced defender who carries attacking threat - in other words, a useful fantasy asset.

Manuel Pellegrini's defence has not been particularly impressive to date but then neither has Sheffield United's attack, giving us hope of a clean sheet.

Honourable mentions: Rui Patricio, Diego Rico, Harvey Barnes, Jack Grealish, Chris Wood.
