Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Charlton's 3-2 win at Tottenham was an excellent performance.

And the worst?

Losing 4-1 at home to West Brom was a total disgrace.

Who was your best player last season?

Talal El Karkouri, he was outstanding in the defence and scored some vital goals.

Who was the most under-rated?

Luke Young, finally showing his class and now an England international.

And the Worst player?

Dennis Rommedahl was a total flop, but hopefully he can settle in this year.

What was the most memorable moment?

Dennis Rommedahl's last minute winner against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Funniest moment, If any?

Sending Palace down to the Championship on the final day of the season. Nothing better!

Who's was the best individual performance against you?

John Terry scored twice in three minutes in Chelsea's 4-0 win at The Valley, the England defender was excellent throughout.

"Best set of fans, besides your own?"

Norwich City's fans were good, they supported their team right up to the end and it was a shame to see them relegated.

Best chant?

"Dennis in the last minute, Dennis...." following Dennis Rommedahl's last minute winner at Selhurst Park.

Which ground is your favourite to visit and why?

Newcastle's St James Park - It's a wonderful stadium, shame about the team.

What improvements need to be made this season?

We need to score more goals, maybe new signing Darren Bent can change this.

Individual with most to prove?

Matt Holland had a terrible season and really needs to improve.

Which game are you most looking forward to?

West Ham at The Valley, It's always an entertaining fixture.

Which of your young players has impressed you?

Jerome Thomas, a £100,000 signing from Arsenal, very quick on the wing and looks to have a great future.

If money was no object which player or manager would like to see at your club?

It would be great to see Fernando Morientes in a Charlton shirt.

What would you consider to be a good season?

A top ten finish would be an excellent achievement.

How would you sum up your manager?

Every year he produces the results to maintain our Premiership status. Good enough for me.

If you had to put a £1m bet on where your team finishes, where would you say?

I would put the money on 9th place.
