This election is still a dead heat, according to most polls. In a fight with such wafer-thin margins, we need reporters on the ground talking to the people Trump and Harris are courting. Your support allows us to keep sending journalists to the story.

The Everton goal of the month winner for January has seen a surprise name drawn out of the hat.
Away from the obvious candidates - Romelu Lukaku, Ross Barkley, Kevin Mirallas, Gerard Deulofeu and so on - it's not even one of the defenders or fringe players scoring a one-off, like Phil Jagielka's stunner at Liverpool last season.
It's George Shaw.
Aged just nine, George beat Barkley, Aaron Lennon and Mirallas to the award for scoring his goal at Goodison Park at half-time of the game against Swansea City.
"I thought I’d come close because of all the support I’ve had but I can’t believe I won!" George, who has cerebral palsy, told the Liverpool Echo.
"Thank you to everyone who voted."
He scored in front of a delighted Gwladys Street End after he was invited onto the pitch by Deulofeu - the Spanish winger had invited George to Goodison Park after seeing a video of George practising his skills in a 'Deulofeu 19' shirt.
"George is amazing," said the former Barcelona man. "To have my shirt on is special. He’s in my heart."
Great goal, George.
