Images of a figure have been leaked online which capture the former Arsenal striker in flight during a game against Newcastle in 2003.
While Arsenal have refused to confirm their plans, it is expected that a statue of the player will be placed outside the Gunners' stadium before the start of next season.
A club spokesman is quoted by The Evening Standard as saying: "We currently have statues outside Emirates Stadium commemorating three legends in Arsenal’s history — Herbert Chapman, Tony Adams and Thierry Henry.
"We’re pleased that speculation surrounding a future possible statue is generating interest and will obviously communicate details if and when there is confirmation of any new developments."
