Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Ahead of the return to Premier League action for Chelsea and Norwich City, we caught up with a couple of fans for their take on the match..
Chelsea Fan - Ben Green
After what has been the worst start to a season in living memory for manyn Chelsea fans, including myself, have been more than thankful for this international break. Now that's come and gone, it's time our champions start playing exactly like that.
Branislav Ivanovic said this week that the Blues are finally coming close to last season's form. We're all hoping he's right. Coming into a home game against Norwich in late November, with them sat in 15th place all the while knowing they're still ahead of us in the league is crazy. This is something completely alien to a whole generation of Blues fans.
It's really now or never for our season and anything short of a convincing win is totally unacceptable. Chelsea will still be without Thibaut Courtois and Ivanovic, both who are getting over their respective injuries, but Jose Mourinho has a full roster to choose from and hopefully a Cesc Fabregas-less side should romp to a 4-0 victory.
Norwich Fan - Mark Breen
There has not been a better time to face the Blues for us. Not only are the reigning champions in the worst form of their lives, but our win at home to Swansea City before the international break put a halt to the bad run of form we were having.
I don't think we should lower our expectations when facing Jose Mourinho's side and the likes of Wes Hoolahan and Nathan Redmond could cause some real damage to the susceptible Chelsea defence.
The player I am most excited about has to be Robbie Brady. Since signing the winger, he has been used sometimes at left back, but that has not diminished the offensive threat he provides for the side. His goal to help the Republic of Ireland this week has proved to me that he needs to be played further forward at all times. I hope Alex Neil is listening!
Prediction: Chelsea 1-1 Norwich City. We'll get a draw at Stamford Bridge, with Mbokani getting his first goal for the club.
