Diego Costa returns to the Chelsea starting XI after missing the last three matches because of suspension.
Interim boss Guus Hiddink makes three changes to the team that lost 1-0 at the Liberty Stadium last week.
Costa starts up top in place of Alexandre Pato, Gary Cahill returns after injury for young defender Matt Miazga and Willian replaces Oscar.
For Manchester City, Manuel Pellegrini has made a number of changes to the side that reached the Champions League semi-final for the first time in the club's history
Pablo Zabaleta, Aleksandar Kolarov, Yaya Toure and Samir Nasri all come in for the visitors.
They replace Bacary Sagna and Gael Clichy at full-back, Fernando in midfield and David Silva.
