Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Chelsea have been handed a significant boost for Sunday's clash at the Emirates after interim boss Guus Hiddink confirmed that both Eden Hazard and Diego Costa took part in training on Friday.
Hazard has not played since going off with a groin problem against Crystal Palace on 3 January, missing three games, while Diego Costa came off with a bruised shin in the latter stages of the draw with Everton last week.
Hiddink, however, said that both would be available to play Premier League leaders Arsenal, although they are not fully fit.
"The last two days he (Hazard) was in full commitment with first-team training, so he is available," said the Dutchman.
"We have to be careful, because he has fallen into some injuries recently.
"I'm not sure whether he can play a full 90 minutes yet. We have to consider whether it's best (for him) to start or to come in."
Costa had scans immediately after the draw with Everton, with the results showing no fracture and just bruising.
The Brazil-born Spain striker returned to training on Thursday.
Hiddink added: "He (Costa) was in yesterday. He was in today. So he will be available as well."
