Oscar is set to complete a £52m move from Chelsea to Shanghai SIPG next month, and it is reported on Friday Fabregas could be about to do the same.
The Spaniard has struggled to hold down a regular place under Antonio Conte this season, although he scored his first goal of the campaign against Sunderland at the weekend and has insisted he wants to stay at the club.
He also hit out at critics who suggested he is past his best. “In football today people forget very, very quickly who you are and what you can do,” said Fabregas, who joined Chelsea for £30m from Barcelona in 2014.
“Hopefully now I can get a run in the team.”
According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea could hold out for £40m for the Spaniard, whose contract runs out in 2019. His most likely destination is Guangzhou Evergrande.
Oscar is set to earn a mind-blowing £400,000-a-week at Shanghai.
