It’s a big game for…

Divock Origi. The Belgian will likely be leading the line once again in the absence of Philippe Coutinho, while Daniel Sturridge, Roberto Firmino and Adam Lallana are all doubts. Origi scored in each of his last two games, against Sunderland in the league and Leeds in the EFL Cup and will hope to press home his credentials for a regular starting berth against Bournemouth.

Best stat…

A Liverpool win will see them equal their best ever Premier League points tally after 14 games of 33 points, amassed in 2008-09.

Remember when...

Liverpool beat Bournemouth in this fixture last season, thanks to goals from Firmino and Sturridge, while Josh King got a late consolatory goal.

Player to watch…

Emre Can. Considering his huge physical presence, it’s easy to forget Can is only 22 years old. He should bully the Bournemouth midfield alongside Jordan Henderson and could even nab a goal, with the German making a habit of arriving late in the box recently.
