Adept at both right back and centre-half, the Englishman will want to force himself into Roy Hodgson’s plans having not played for the Three Lions since 2012.

457: In Sylvain Distin, Bournemouth have one of the most experienced Premier League campaigners around, having played 457 games during his time at Newcastle, Manchester City, Portsmouth and Everton. His knowledge of the league should prove vital should Bournemouth defy the odds and stay up this season.
