Blackpool have been fined £25,000 by the Premier League for fielding a weakened side in the match at Aston Villa in November.

Manager Ian Holloway made 10 changes from his previous league game. He later said he would resign if punished for the changes. Blackpool have 14 days to appeal. Last February Wolves were given a suspended £25,000 fine for committing the same offence against Manchester United.

Blackpool have signed defender Salaheddine Sbai from Nîmes until the end of the season.
