Manchester United secured their second successive 1-0 Premier League victory, courtesy of Adnan Januzaj's strike, against Aston Villa on Friday night.

Louis van Gaal made just one change from the side that edge out Tottenham last weekend and it was the Belgian youngster that made the break through just before the half hour mark after a superb through ball from Juan Mata.

Tim Sherwood's side began the second half far brighter than the visitors but the defensive partnership of Chris Smalling and Daley Blind stayed firm, evening when Villa striker Rudy Gestede was called upon from the bench.

But who was the star man? Click through our ratings gallery below..

United were far from outstanding but have the luxury six points on the board before any of their rivals have even kicked a ball in anger this weekend. A solid if not spectacular start from the Red Devils.
