Arsene Wenger has told Jose Mourinho to show him more respect.

The Arsenal manager was speaking at his press conference this morning, his first one since Mourinho said last Sunday evening that Arsenal’s 11-year run without the Premier League title was “very boring”.

Wenger, who has been on the end of Mourinho’s pointed comments a few times, advised the Chelsea manager to behave with more dignity with regard to his rivals.

“I think I just told you that the biggest thing for a manager is to respect other managers,” Wenger said this morning, when asked about Mourinho’s comments. “Some people have to improve on that. Everybody lives with his own internal problems, and I live with mine.”

Wenger is no stranger to squabbles and bickering himself – as he admits – but he was not especially impressed with Mourinho’s latest comments.

“You can have incidents with other managers sometimes,” Wenger said. “It gets a bit heated when you fight directly with them, but in the end I believe time heals and the important thing is to respect each other as much as you can.”

Arsenal travel to Hull City on Monday night, and Wenger is happy to have almost his entire squad available for selection. “We have a full squad available,” he said, “the only one who is really a doubt is Mathieu Debuchy. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is not completely ready, nor Diaby, but they both practice in full training sessions now.”
