One of the most intense rivalries is brought back into the limelight on Sunday afternoon when Arsene Wenger faces off against Jose Mourinho in a top of the table clash at the Emirates.

Earlier on this year, Mourinho branded Wenger a “specialist in failure”, adding to the extensive list of quotes from both managers attempting to win this battle of intense mind games.

Chelsea head into the tie with Arsenal knowing a victory would put one hand on the Premier League title. Jose Mourinho’s side need nine points from their last six games to mathematically secure their fourth title and currently boast a ten point lead at the summit of the table.

However, history is not on the Gunners’ side as Arsene Wenger has not won against Mourinho in 12 attempts, giving the Chelsea boss the upper hand in their spats.

Arsenal are in fine form coming into the tie and have won nine consecutive matches in all competitions, including their victory against Reading at Wembley last weekend to reach the FA Cup final.

Wenger’s side have been branded as a side that can only finish fourth over recent years but the Gunners are set to change that this season and are set to finish second if their current form holds up.
