From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Chelsea were brought back down to earth against Liverpool after a fast start to the season that saw them pick up maximum points in their opening three games. However, since then they have hit a speed-bump with a sloppy draw away to Swansea before being outclassed by Liverpool last weekend.

Arsenal have been looking equally unconvincing this season but have three wins from their last three games, they are in their familiar position of fourth in the Premier League table, with the same points tally as Saturday’s opponents.

It’s a big game for…

Antonio Conte. After two lacklustre displays, there were rumblings of discontent coming from Roman Abramovich’s office with talk of an ‘emergency meeting’ already mentioned. Conte needs a win to get the owner off his back.

Best stat…

Antonio Conte will be the 14th Chelsea manager Arsene Wenger has come up against since he joined Arsenal 20 years ago.

Remember when...

Chelsea held Arsenal to a 0-0 draw at the Emirates to all but confirm the title in 2015 when Jose Mourinho was manager. Can the Blues get their season back on track this time around?

Player to watch…

Diego Costa. The Spanish international is on fire at the moment with five goals in five games for Chelsea this season.

He also managed two for Spain and has a tendency for getting Arsenal centre backs sent off in this fixture.
