Arsenal have had a shaky start to the season, falling five points off of Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United already in the opening stages of the campaign.

Southampton to have had a tough start to the league, having lost their former manager Ronald Koeman to Everton in the summer the Saints have only managed to claim two points out of a possible nine.

Theo Walcott who returns to his former club having had a disappointing summer. The pacey winger was left out of Roy Hodgson's European Championship squad but came on as a sub for England against Slovakia last weekend.

Walcott missed a penalty in Arsenal's 4-3 loss to Liverpool in the opening game of the season but will be hoping to produce the good against his old club.

Best stat…

Arsenal have no less than three former Southampton players in their first-team squad. Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlin and Calum Chambers have all come through the Saints academy and made their way to north London, costing Arsenal a combined fee of £33 million.

Remember when…

Southampton crushed Arsenal 4-0 at the St Mary’s stadium, signalling the start to a dip in form the title hopeful Arsenal who eventually missed out on top spot to Leicester City.

Saints manager Claude Pel will be hoping his side can replicate such form when they head to the Emirates this Saturday afternoon.

Player to watch…

Mesut Ozil has been involved in the action for both Germany and Arsenal so far this season. The creative midfielder scored in Germany’s 2-0 win over Finland at the end of August and was on the scoresheet again when Arsenal beat Watford 3-1 in the Premier League. He also played the pin point pass to Alexis Sanchez who was brought down for a Arsenal's second against Watford.
