Willian’s contract with Chelsea expired on Sunday, and he has reportedly agreed terms with Arsenal for a three-year deal worth approximately £100,000-per-week.
The 32-year-old has also reportedly undergone a medical with the north London club, though Kia Joorabchian refused to confirm that his client was set to join Arsenal.
“He is a free player,” Joorabchian told talkSPORT. “He had a fantastic seven years at Chelsea.
“He has been under various managers, he has won multiple trophies. He had a fantastic relationship with Frank [Lampard] and he respected Frank a lot.
“But like every cycle, I think that particular cycle has come to a moment where it is a good moment to leave.
“At the moment, just for now, I can’t say where he is going to go.
“It won’t be long before we announce it. We know where he is going.”
In the same interview, Joorabchian accused former Arsenal director of football Sven Mislintat of transfer “c***-ups” during his time at the club.
