Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Ahead of the match against Newcastle United on Saturday, Arsene Wenger has revealed that Tomas Rosicky is expected to be back in the squad.
The Czech playmaker has missed the club's last three games due to illness.
"We have no new big injuries, we have some knocks, but nothing major," Wenger said on Thursday.
"Mathieu Debuchy is two or three weeks away, [Mikel] Arteta and [Jack] Wilshere as well. Arteta will maybe come back after the [international] break. Tomas Rosicky is hopefully available again for the weekend."
Wilshere is expected to be back early April following ankle surgery, as is Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as he recovers from a hamstring injury.
Wenger also spoke of his concerns about the fatigue creeping into his squad after their gallant effort in the Champions League at Monaco on Tuesday night.
"West Ham was a very physical game. In the second half of the Monaco game we played some of our players offensively. We paid a little bit for it. It is a concern. We have to see how everyone recovers."
