Arsenal injury news: Laurent Koscielny boost but Paris Saint-Germain game comes too soon for Aaron Ramsey
Koscielny suffered an eye injury on the weekend and Ramsey has missed the last three games
Arsenal return to Champions League action on Tuesday when they take on Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes, off the back of a last minute win against Southampton on the weekend.
Arsene Wenger admitted in the week that he had been repeatedly courted for the PSG job, conceding that their president Nasser al-Khelafi had offered him the job on three separate occasions.
And now Wenger arrives in Paris as a visitor when it could have been his home as Arsenal face PSG for the first time in 12 years, when they clashed in the Cup Winners’ Cup.
The sides drew in Paris on that occasion before the Gunners won the return leg and Wenger has received a timely injury boost as he attempts to get this season’s injury campaign off to a perfect start.
Laurent Koscielny was a doubt for the game with an eye injury picked up in the closing stages of Saturday’s win at the Emirates but the Frenchman has taken a full part in training and should start the game.
Gabriel Paulista could also feature, albeit from the substitute’s bench, after returning to training last week.
However, the game has come too soon for Aaron Ramsey who, despite taking part in training, won’t be rushed back from his hamstring injury.
