After yesterday's devastating blow that saw Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Debuchy sidelined for another three months each, Arsene Wenger has today confirmed that Danny Welbeck will miss "another two weeks".
The Arsenal striker last played against West Ham on 28 December, suffering a thigh strain in the 2-1 win.
Left-back Kieran Gibbs, who has not played since New Year's day because of a heel problem, will have to face a late fitness test if he is to be fit in time for Sunday's clash away to Manchester City.
There was some good news for Gunners fans, however, with Wenger confirming Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott and Aaron Ramsey are all fit again after their own injury trouble.
Wenger also confirmed that a fee for Legia Warsaw midfielder Krystian Bielik has been agreed with the teenager having a medical today.
The Frenchman also confirmed the club are continuing to look for a defender to bring in during this window.
