Unai Emery insists Granit Xhaka was “wrong” to react to Arsenal fans after being booed while being substituted against Crystal Palace.
The Swiss international could be see cupping his ear in irritation as the Gunners were held 2-2 by the Eagles.
Xhaka then ripped his shirt off before storming down the tunnel.
And Emery admits Xhaka made a mistake and that they will discuss the incident when they are calmer.
“He’s wrong, but we are going to speak inside about that situation,” Emery revealed. “I want to listen to him and be calm.”
“But really he was wrong in this action.”
After goals from Sokratis and David Luiz, the Gunners saw VAR overturn a decision to hand the visitors a penalty.
Luka Milivojević converted before Jordan Ayew netted the equaliser.
