Sead Kolasinac may have become an instant fans' favourite on his debut against Chelsea and was part of Arsenal's winning team over Leicester on Friday night, but Gary Neville was less than impressed with what he saw.
The Bosnia international played on the left-side of a makeshift back three that looked disorganised and nervy against the counterattacking threat of Jamie Vardy and Shinji Okazaki.
But it was the 24-year-old's role in Leicester's opening goal from a set piece that Neville was most concerned about, labelling the Arsenal defence "naive" and Kolasinac "irresponsible".
Arsenal took a lead after just two minutes through Alexandre Lacazette's headed goal, but they were pegged back almost immediately by Okazaki from a Leicester corner.
Kolasinac had been marking the Japanese forward at the back post but lost his man as the Foxes took their corner short, leaving Okazaki with time and space to finish off Harry Maguire's knock back.
"I have to say, their new centre-back, it's so irresponsible what he does," Neville, who won eight Premier League titles for Manchester United, said on Sky Sports.
"He is there at that back post, he drifts forward, I have no idea what he is doing.
"He drifts forward and leaves a massive void for the rest of his team to cover, and they can't cover it. It's poor from him."
