The final day of the Premier League season could hardly have gone better for Arsene Wenger.

Arsenal’s 4-0 win over Aston Villa at the Emirates secured second place thanks to Tottenham’s 5-1 humiliation at Newcastle.

Olivier Giroud scored a hat-trick and Mikel Arteta added a fourth in injury-time as Arsenal finished above their north London rivals yet again, as they have done every year since 1995.

Needless to say, Arsenal fans were quick to celebrate ‘St Totteringham’s Day’ – see below for the best of the supporters’ reaction on Twitter.
