Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Leicester City helped to erase the memory of the north London derby defeat to Tottenham.

Although the Gunners won this one and are now fourth, they weren't particularly convincing and Nigel Pearson's team were unlucky not have left the Emirates with a point.

Arsene Wenger made three changes to the side that lost to Spurs, with Alexis Sanchez tasked with playing as a false nine in place of Olivier Giroud.

Arsenal took the lead through Laurent Koscielny’s goal on 27 minutes. Mesut Ozil whipped his corner into the box, and as Wes Morgan dillied, Koscielny took advantage and finished past Mark Schwarzer.

The Gunners' lead was doubled when Ozil's 25-yard effort forced Schwarzer to parry into the path of Walcott who smashed home.

Leicester were given a lifeline on 61 minutes when poor defending by Arsenal allowed Andrej Kramaric to slot past David Ospina.

Kramaric nearly equalised for his side when he found himself one-on-one with Ospina but his tame lob was swiftly plucked out of the air by the goalkeeper.
