Arsenal and Liverpool played out a goalless draw, but despite the scoreline, it was an entertaining affair at the Emirates.

The phrase 'a game of two halves' perhaps best sums it up.

Liverpool were sensational during the first period with their high pressing causing Arsenal's makeshift defence all sorts of problems. With Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker missing through injury and illness respectively, in came Gabriel and Calum Chambers. They struggled desperately, particularly against the power of Christian Benteke and pace of Coutinho.

But during the second period, Arsenal enjoyed most of the possession and many more chances to add to Aaron Ramsey's wrongfully disallowed goal in the first half.

But neither side could break the deadlock.
