From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Wolves have confirmed the signing of French midfielder Adlene Guedioura on loan for the rest of the season.

The 24-year-old has joined from Charleroi, and the deal could be come permanent if he impresses Mick McCarthy.

The signing is Wolves' second of the season, and their second from Charleroi, following the arrival of Geoffrey Mujangi Bia.

"Adlene is an all-round midfield player who is very mobile and can get up and down the pitch," McCarthy told the club's website.

"Technically he is also very good and has the physical characteristics to be able to cope with the Premier League.

"He's another player who has been scouted abroad by (Ian Evans) and I'm delighted we've been able to bring him in."

Wolves must now wait to see how quickly Guedioura's international clearance arrives before knowing whether he can be included in the squad to face Liverpool tomorrow.
