Your support makes all the difference.Trevor Francis, the former England and Birmingham City striker, is "recovering well" in a Birmingham hospital after suffering a heart attack on Friday.
"The Blues legend underwent an operation at Heartlands Hospital," a club statement read. "Thankfully the former striker and manager is recovering well and should be able to return home within the next week." The pacy, prolific forward who made his debut for the Blues at 16, became Britain's first £1 million player when, after playing for City between 1970-79 and scoring 118 goals in 280 games, he was signed by Nottingham Forest.
Francis also played for Manchester City, Sheffield Wednesday, Sampdoria and Rangers and later managed the St Andrew's club, Wednesday, Queens Park Rangers and Crystal Palace. He won 52 England caps.
