Birmingham

The club have been charged by the Football Association with failing to control their players during the 1-0 defeat at Aston Villa on Sunday. Defender Stephen Carr has received a separate charge of improper conduct.

Bordeaux

Manager Laurent Blanc has criticised the club's medical staff after Yoann Gourcuff was allowed to play with an injury for 25 minutes against Lorient last week. The Frenchman strained a thigh after 20 minutes but stayed on until half-time. "We took big chances," Blanc said.

Portsmouth

Loanee Jamie O'Hara has said he will be fit for next month's FA Cup final against Chelsea. The midfielder has suffered from back trouble but is determined to make the Wembley showpiece on 15 May. "It's not going to be 100 per cent for the final," he said. "But I'll go out there on one leg if I have to."

Leicester City

Midfielder Nolberto Solano was arrested on Monday morning in relation to a rape allegation. "Nobby denies the allegations in full," a club statement said of the 35-year-old, "and is assisting the police fully in their enquiries."

Arsenal

Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski has asked for more time to prove his worth to the Gunners. The Pole has faced criticism over recent displays but has vowed to end the year on a high. "I just want to take the opportunities," he said, "and show I am good enough."

Hull City

The chairman, Adam Pearson, has admitted that selling the Tigers' top earners could be tough in view of the financial climate. "It's a difficult time to move players and with the World Cup, it's tricky," Pearson said. "Administration is not on the agenda so we have to find another route."
