The £8m Queens Park Rangers striker, a 26-year-old French international, was held with his cousin and a friend. All three men are in custody being questioned about an alleged assault.
The alleged incident took place on May 6, two days after QPR lost a Premier League match to Arsenal.
She says she visited the £75,000-a-week footballer at his flat last week. When she arrived his cousin and friend were present. The woman claims she was offered a drink and allegedly lost consciousness.
When she came round some hours later the three men were still present, she says. She made a complaint to Kent police, which was passed on to the Met and the men were arrested this morning.
A Met spokesman said: "Officers from the Sapphire crime unit are investigating an allegation of rape." The ages of the other two men arrested were given as 23 and 22.
In a statement QPR said: "The club is aware of the allegations regarding Loic Remy but due to police investigations is unable to comment."
Remy joined QPR in January. He has made 13 appearances for the club this season, scoring six goals. But he is expected to leave the club this summer following QPR's relegation to the Championship.Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool, Everton and Newcastle are among the clubs reported to be interested in signing him.
The striker has also been linked with a move to Italy with Inter Milan and Napoli apparently interested in signing him.
Remy started his career at Lyon in 2006 before moving to Nice in 2008 and then Marseille in 2010. He has been capped 18 times for France, scoring four goals.
